PlayStation Portable owners can play downloaded games directly from their PSP without a game disc. These games are available from Sony and include classic PlayStation 1 games as well as an assortment of games developed for the PSP. For gamers who do not have a wireless Internet connection for their PSP to download games, software can be downloaded onto a computer or a PlayStation 3 and copied to the PSP.
Copy From a PS3
Step 1
     Insert a Pro Duo Memory Stick into your PSP that has at least 1 gb of available space.
Step 2
     Connect your PSP to your PS3 with the USB cable. The cable will attach to the mini-USB slot of the PSP and a standard USB slot in the PlayStation 3. Power on both consoles.
 
Step 3
     Navigate to the far left of the PSP's cross-media bar and select "USB Connection" from the "Settings" menu.
 
Step 4
     Use your PlayStation 3 controller to select "Games", then "Game Data." then the game you wish to copy from your PlayStation 3's cross-media bar.
 
Step 5
     Press "Triangle" on the game you wish to copy and select "Copy." Then select the PSP from the list that appears and press "X."
 
Step 6
     Press "O" on the PSP to leave USB mode after the game has been copied. The game can be found in the Games section of your PSP.
     Copy From a PC
 
Step 1
     Install Media Go on your computer. The program facilitates downloading games to your PC and copying them to the PSP.

     Insert a Memory Stick Pro Duo with at least 1GB of free space into your PSP. Connect your PSP to the computer using a USB cable and power on the PSP.

     Step 3
     Navigate to the far left of the PSP's cross-media bar and select "USB Connection" from the "Settings" menu.

     Step 4
     Open Media Go and drag the game file from your Media Go Library onto the PSP device on the left side of the Media Go menu.

     Step 5
     Exit USB mode when the file has been copied and locate the game in the "Games" menu on the PSP.
